#1: What is HCG and how can it help me lose weight?
HCG stands for “Human Chorionic Gonadotropin,” a naturally occurring hormone that is produced by pregnant women to regulate metabolism. Scientific studies show that synthetically-created HCG supplements can help individuals who are overweight quickly shed the pounds. HCG works by kick-starting the metabolism for rapid weight loss. Patients enjoy more energy, sleep better at night and make better food choices.
#2: What should I expect with the HCG diet?
Our HCG weight loss program is part of a long-term lifestyle change that emphasizes new eating habits and increased physical activity. To make the most of HCG supplements, we recommend that patients maintain a very low calorie diet. While you will be consuming fewer calories, you will not be hungry because of all the extra fat that your body will be burning.
#3: How much weight will I lose on the diet and is this weight loss sustainable?
Most of our patients lose on average one to two pounds each day for a weekly weight loss total of seven to fourteen pounds. This weight loss is sustainable because patients are burning fat reserves and speeding up the metabolism, rather than starving the body and shutting the metabolism down.
